Our perspective on the X-Men's biggest event in a decade

Marvel's merry mutants haven't had their best run these recent years. They went through a whole medley of transitions, most of which left their playing field just as confusing as before. Whether it was switching around creative talent or revamping the character lineups of the books, the X titles were anything but consistent. Then came House of M which should have led to a more streamlined and focused environment but instead gave us six months of aimless wandering and melodrama. Since then however, the books have slowly been working to get on a common path and the future of the franchise is starting to look very promising. Giving this resurgence a riotous kick start will be the first proper mutant crossover event in over a decade, Messiah Complex. Be excited.
